We can only imagine a fraction of the sadness that you are feeling but it is so important that you realise that we are here to help you in any way that we can not only as Funeral directors but more importantly as parents.

We have highlighted some of the practical options that are available to you and stress that it is not for us to dictate to you but merely to guide and support you through this most difficult of times.

The Funeral service will be planned by you and carried out exactly as you would want it to be.

There is more than one option available to you and before you make your final decision as to where the Funeral will take place you may wish to consider the following:

The Garden of Remembrance (in the grounds of the IW Crematorium) is a quiet place where babies & children up to 2 years of age can be buried.

You can lay your baby to rest in a Local Authority Cemetery or your local Churchyard. There is also the choice of Woodland Cemeteries which we can advise you on.

The choice of cremation is a very personal one and we will discuss the options available to you in person due to the sensitive nature of this choice.

We are generally contacted in the first instance by a midwife from the hospital or community team and given your contact details. We will then make contact with you or a nominated family member authorising us to begin the arrangements.

If you feel that you are able, then you are very welcome to contact us directly.

It is entirely up to you if you wish to have religious or non religious service and this is of course your prerogative to choose.

For babies and children up the age of 16 years we do not charge for our normal services; however should you require anything additional to these, we can advise you of the cost.

Third party fees are payable to the relevant authority which we can explain to you at the time of arrangement.

We realise that this is an experience that you do not wish to go through but we both want to assure you that you will be looked after through each and every step that you will need to take.

I (Paula) will personally look after your baby or child whilst they are in our care and want you to feel secure in the fact that they are in the safest of hands.
